The PlayStation 5 and the PlayStation 5 Pro share the same foundational architecture, yet public specifications and reviews highlight meaningful differences in storage capacity and display output. The standard PlayStation 5 ships with 825 GB of SSD storage. And supports up to 4K visuals at 60 frames per second in most titles, while the PlayStation 5 Pro expands internal storage to 2 TB. And adds enhanced rendering features that enable 4K at higher frame rates or improved visual fidelity on compatible 4K and 8K displays. Review aggregates note that the Pro model reduces loading times in large open-world games. And delivers sharper textures without requiring developers to create entirely new versions of their titles. Both systems run the same game library and support ray tracing, but the Pro’s additional GPU power becomes noticeable primarily on high-resolution screens. The short version: buyers should weigh their current storage needs. And display setup, since those two factors determine whether the added cost of the PlayStation 5 Pro translates into a practical upgrade.

Verdict: Neither console provides disclosed CPU/GPU specs, so the choice hinges on the available storage and display capabilities.

PlayStation 5 Pro lists at $699 while PlayStation 5 lists at $49.99 — PlayStation 5 undercuts PlayStation 5 Pro by $649.01 (1298%).
