The LG OLED55B4PUA relies on a WRGB OLED panel that delivers the perfect blacks. And wide viewing angles characteristic of self-emissive technology, while the Samsung QN55QN90B uses a Mini-LED backlight on a VA panel to achieve higher sustained brightness and stronger local-dimming contrast in bright rooms. Public specifications already confirm the LG model’s 120 Hz native refresh rate, four HDMI 2.1 ports, and full VRR and ALLM support, whereas the Samsung QN55QN90B has not yet published final figures for peak brightness, exact HDMI configuration, or variable-refresh-rate implementation. Review aggregation sites note the LG OLED55B4PUA’s consistent color accuracy after calibration. And its aggressive price positioning, while early impressions of the Samsung suggest it may trade some black-level purity for greater highlight pop once official data arrives. The short version: choose the LG OLED55B4PUA for confirmed OLED performance, 120 Hz capability. And a known price; consider waiting on the Samsung QN55QN90B only if its unreleased specifications prove decisive for your setup.

Verdict: The LG OLED55B4PUA still excels in pure black levels and color accuracy, so it remains the better choice for dark‑room cinematic viewing. Choose the QN90B if you prioritize brightness and motion handling; pick the B4 if you value perfect blacks and Dolby Vision support.
