The Sony Bravia XR-75X90J 75-Inch 4K LED TV relies on a full-array local-dimming backlight and Cognitive Processor XR to deliver solid contrast. And upscaling from public reviews, while the LG G5 OLED 83" TV uses a self-emissive OLED panel that achieves perfect blacks. And wide viewing angles without the haloing sometimes noted on LED models. Both sets support Dolby Vision HDR and run their respective smart platforms with voice control, yet the LG G5 adds confirmed HDMI 2.1 ports for 4K120 gaming and a larger 83-inch screen size that reviewers consistently praise for immersive cinema and console use. Brightness figures remain unpublished by either manufacturer, leaving contrast performance as the clearer differentiator in aggregated test data. The short version: choose the LG G5 OLED if an 83-inch self-emissive panel, Dolby Vision, and HDMI 2.1 gaming features matter more than price.

Verdict: Pick LG G5 OLED if you prioritize an 83‑inch OLED panel, Dolby Vision, and HDMI 2.1 support for high‑refresh gaming, accepting the $5,299.99 price. Neither publishes peak brightness yet.
