Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 vs MacBook Pro 14‑inch M4
Verdict: The MacBook Pro 14‑inch M4 outperforms the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 in raw CPU power (9.2 GHz vs 5.0 GHz boost per Geekbench), offers a brighter 1,000‑nit mini‑LED display, and benefits from a longer software support window, making it the superior choice for demanding creative work. The ThinkPad remains a strong contender for business users who prioritize weight (1.12 kg) and a tactile keyboard, but its integrated graphics and higher price for top‑spec configurations limit its appeal for power‑hungry tasks. Overall, the MacBook’s performance and display advantages outweigh its higher cost for most professional users.
