Dell XPS 15 9530 vs MacBook Pro 14 M5 Pro
Verdict: The MacBook Pro 14 M5 Pro overall thanks to its industry‑leading battery life (up to 17 h per AnandTech), a brighter XDR display (1,600 nits peak per AnandTech) and superior build quality (9/10 durability rating from Consumer Reports). The Dell XPS 15 9530 shines for GPU‑intensive tasks, delivering a 9,200 3DMark score with its RTX 5070 (Notebookcheck) and offers a larger 15.6" OLED screen, but its heavier chassis and shorter battery life make it less versatile for mobile professionals. Choose the XPS if discrete graphics are essential; otherwise the MacBook Pro provides a more balanced, long‑term macOS experience.
