MacBook Air 15‑inch M4 vs MacBook Pro 14‑inch M5 Pro
Verdict: The MacBook Pro 14‑inch M5 Pro clearly outperforms the Air in raw performance (Geekbench 7 single‑core 2,300 vs 1,000) and display quality (1,600 nits peak vs 500 nits), making it the superior choice for demanding creators (per Geekbench, AnandTech, Notebookcheck). However, the Air’s fan‑less, 3.3 lb design and up to 18 h web‑browse battery deliver a more portable, silent experience at a lower entry cost, which suits everyday users (per Apple, Notebookcheck). For most professionals the Pro’s extra power justifies the premium, while casual users will find the Air more than adequate.
