The DiamondClean Smart 9700 edges ahead with a new gum‑health mode and a more sensitive pressure sensor, delivering slightly better cleaning performance (Consumer Reports). Both brush heads last the same amount of time and share a 14‑day battery life (Consumer Reports). However, the 9700 costs about $50 more, so budget‑conscious users may prefer the 9500 (Consumer Reports).
