Raycast wins overall for most users due to its superior extension ecosystem and design, beating Alfred on features by a wide margin in recent comparisons from MacStories and 9to5Mac. Alfred remains strong for those avoiding subscriptions and valuing its mature scripting community. Both are excellent macOS launchers but Raycast feels more current in 2026.
